Vangelis Gerovasiliou is the legendary Greek winemaker who revived the nearly extinct grape variety Malagousia, one of the oldest varieties in the world. It is needless to say that this wine stands as the benchmark expression of Malagousia.
The 2024 Malagousia by Ktima Gerovasiliou is bright, aromatic and immediately inviting, it captures everything that makes this Greek variety so exciting right now. Grown in the cooler conditions of Epanomi, the wine is all about purity, freshness and drinkability.
The nose bursts with orange blossom, ripe pear and white peach, followed by hints of citrus zest and fresh herbs. On the palate, it is vibrant and clean, with a silky texture balanced by crisp acidity, finishing with a subtle mineral edge that keeps you reaching for another glass.
