Ultra rare & highly collectible Pomerol.

Château La Providence was a highly sought-after, 4-hectare boutique wine estate in the Pomerol appellation of Bordeaux.
The final vintage produced under the Providence label was in 2012 with the fruit from this exceptional vineyard now going into the sibling estate Château La Fleur-Pétrus.

The 2011 example is showing aromas of black cherry, plum, truffle, cedar and tobacco. The palate is silky and refined, with layers of ripe dark fruit, forest floor, cocoa and earthy complexity supported by fine tannins and fresh acidity. Elegant and harmonious, it finishes long with savoury notes and classic Right Bank charm.

This treasure can be enjoyed now or cellared for another 10-12 years.

Terroir

Most of the hard work it takes to produce quality wine happens in the vinyard. The soil, the climatic conditions, the aspect, the bodies of water and many more factors, collectively knwon as "terroir" can influence the flavour of wine and give wine distint minerality, depth and character.
